2024 four-star guard Blake Franks has committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks.
This is a major recruiting win for the Gamecocks. He attends Greenville High School in Greenville, SC. He received offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, and many others.
Rivals ranks Franks as the fifth-best recruit in the state. He is also ranked as the 13th-best guard in the nation. He is listed at 6’5″ and 310 pounds.
Franks spoke to Adam Friedman of Rivals about his decision.
“They really sat down and tried to get to know me as a person,” Franks said. “I feel like I know the entire staff and I feel really comfortable down there. They tried to really make it feel like home there. Any time I was there it didn’t feel uncomfortable. It’s not very far from my family and now they can come to pretty much every game they want to.”
Franks is the Gamecocks’ second four-star offensive line commit in the 2024 class, joining offensive tackle Kam Pringle.
