The South Carolina Gamecocks have expressed interest in Campbell transfer wing Jay Pal, according to The Portal Report.
Pal started all 32 games for Campbell last season. He averaged 12.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 0.9 steals in 31.0 minutes per game, while shooting 58.0 percent from the field and 32.9 percent from three.
He was fantastic in the conference tournament; he scored 19+ points in three individual games, including a 26-point performance against UNC Asheville. Subsequently, he was selected to the All-Big South Tournament team.
Pal stands at 6’9″ and weighs 190 pounds. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
Pal has also received interest from San Diego State, UTSA, Rutgers, Cal, Middle Tennessee, Drake, New Mexico, New Mexico State, BYU, Richmond, ACU, Arizona, SMU, Murray State, Indiana State, Georgia State, St. Bonaventure, George Mason, Wyoming, North Dakota, Mississippi State, Temple, Ohio, UNCW, Portland, and Montana State.
