The South Carolina Gamecocks are top-three finalists for Coffeyville C.C. offensive tackle Kevin Kalonji. Houston and Maryland are his other two finalists. He announced the news on Twitter.
247Sports ranks Kalonji as the 11th overall JUCO offensive tackle. In addition, he is currently the top uncommitted offensive tackle. He has received plenty of interest, garnering a whopping 22 offers.
Kalonji is listed at 6’6″ and 330 pounds. He attends Coffeyville C.C. in Silver Spring, MD.
Although the Gamecocks are in the final three, they will face an uphill battle. Kalonji has already taken visits to both Houston and Maryland. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine gives him 52.7 percent odds to stay in-state and commit to the Terrapins.
Coffeyville C.C. has produced a number of notable players over the years, including two-time Super Bowl Champion running back Brandon Jacobs, two-time Pro Bowl safety Reggie Nelson, and All-Big Ten wide receiver Devin Thomas.
