2024 four-star athlete KingJoseph Edwards visited the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday.
Scouting College ranks Edwards as the fifth-best athlete in the 2024 class. He attends Mill Creek High School in Hoschton, GA, where he plays both defensive end and tight end. He is listed at 6’5″ and 243 pounds. In 2022, he was named the Under Armour All-American MVP.
Edwards has received 34 offers. He has taken visits to Florida, Texas, Michigan State, Tennessee, Georgia, Ohio State, Duke, NC State, Oklahoma, and Miami.
On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine lists Georgia as the favorite to land Edwards. They are given 51.1 percent odds. Miami, USC, and Ohio State are the next teams listed.
South Carolina’s 2024 recruiting class already features five four-star recruits: offensive tackle Kam Pringle, tight end Michael Smith, linebacker Wendell Gregory, wide receiver Mazeo Bennett, and quarterback Dante Reno. 247Sports Composite ranks the class as the sixth-best in the nation.
