2024 three-star running back Matthew Fuller committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks.
247Sports Composite ranks Fuller as the 45th overall running back in the 2024 recruiting class. He attends Wayne County High School in Jesup, GA. Last season, he rushed for 1,757 yards and 27 touchdowns.
During his recruitment, he received offers from 23 schools, including Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Memphis, Minnesota, and UCF.
He spoke to Phil Kornblut of SportsTalk Media Network about his decision:
“It’s SEC. I want to play against the best of the best. They said they are going to use me inside zone, outside, counter, catch it out of the backfield, all of that. They like that I’m fast with good top-end speed. They need a back like me.”
Fuller becomes the program’s first running back commit in the 2024 class.
