2024 four-star wide receiver Mazeo Bennett has committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks. He shared the news on Twitter.
Bennett attends Greenville High School in Greenville, SC. He is listed at 6’0″ and 180 pounds. As a junior, he posted 47 receptions for 857 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Bennett is one of the most prominent recruits in the state of South Carolina. 247Sports Composite ranks Bennett as the third-best recruit in the state. The Gamecocks have already landed the number one in-state recruit, offensive tackle Kam Pringle.
Bennett was previously committed to Tennessee. He decommitted in December. He received 22 total offers and took visits to Alabama, Florida State, Miami, and Tennessee.
South Carolina’s 2024 recruiting class is shaping up to be one of the best in the nation. They have already landed commitments from five four-star recruits. Currently, 247Sports Composite ranks their class as the sixth-best in the country.
